Working at Channel [V] since he was just a 16 year old rock photographer thrust in front of a camera, Danny Clayton has achieved much since then.
After filming thousands of hours of LIVE television, interviewing hundreds of the world’s biggest celebrities with his warm, quirky style we have seen him put the likes of Will Ferrell, Kristen Stewart, Lady Gaga, Coldplay and the Foo Fighters at ease with his friendly demeanor.
Six days a week, Danny Clayton co-host’s Channel [V]’s LIVE panel show The Riff, creates festival specials, and is the host of Channel V’s pop up gig show Guerilla Gigs. A globetrotting adventurer, he has explored the world with Channel [V]’s travel Adventure show B430, filming surf events in Mexico, music concerts in England and of course he danced with the girls of the Moulin Rouge in Paris. And this barely scratches the surface.
A talented film maker, TV producer and festival DJ, Danny has become one of subscription television’s longest serving presenters which has even earned him six nominations at the annual ASTRA Awards and placed him runner up in Cleo’s Bachelor of the Year. Danny is enigmatic, passionate and most importantly… an all round nice guy.
Danny is a also favorite with clients - In 2013 Danny worked with Ben & Jerry’s on their Chunks for a Change ice cream tour keeping a video diary of his experience. Earlier this year he was involved in the Cotton On Fifth Army campaign to raise awareness of youth issues. More recently he was part of the Ford EcoSport ‘Discovery’ campaign as a judge.
A keen DJ + MC, Danny has played at and hosted a variety of different clubs, events, parties, client launches and gigs from Nike’s Indoor soccer competition to Nutri-grain’s glow in the dark skate park event to DJ’ing between the bands at the Falls Festival to inside a female toilet block at Lost Events: Lost on the Cat Walk. Also a man with a heart, he takes part in the annual Rock n’ Ride motorbike ride from Brisbane to Melbourne Big Day Out alongside Kate Peck and members of Grinspoon, silverchair, Bluejuice and Art v Science raising awareness for Headspace, the national youth mental health foundation.
